New Dads Cliff Notes » Freezer http://newdadscliffnotes.com Notes from a Stay at Home Dad... tips, tricks, stories and fun Thu, 17 Feb 2011 06:57:10 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Home Alone http://newdadscliffnotes.com/267/home-alone/ http://newdadscliffnotes.com/267/home-alone/#comments Thu, 18 Feb 2010 07:05:33 +0000 newdadscliffnotes.com http://newdadscliffnotes.com/?p=267 imagesLast night, I had my first “real alone time” with both kids.  My wife went on a little shopping trip, and then to a movie… leaving me with little girl, and the 4 week old boy for like 6 hours.  The first few hours were pretty hectic… but then I got to feed the boy for the first time.  He has only been boob fed until now.  We have about 60-80 bags (our freezer is full of boob juice) ready for the eating.  As soon as it was time to feed the boy, I thawed out some milk and gave him his first bottle.  He drank it all up… 9 oz of it!  Then he quickly filled up a bunch of diapers before falling asleep.

With Wyatt sleeping, I was free to concentrate on getting the girl bathed and tucked in to bed.  The night went really well.  Usually the boy will want demand some food every two to three hours.  But I think that this time he got really full.  He slept from 8-1:30am.  Then mom came home and hooked him up when he got up.

I have a chance at surviving two kids after all.
